My family is finally moved out of our house and into our RV. The house sale was officially recorded on Tuesday and things went smoothly for the most part. While Greg was loading up one of the final loads, a box tipped and broke the window of our truck. We were stuck then, having to have it replaced and not able to move or haul overnight (so the window sets). Luckily, the new owners were understanding :) The worst for me was that I was supposed to work Mon and Tues and it was just impossible to get away. I get a bit too overworked by things like that sometimes and let it stress me out a bit too much--but I was calmer than I thought I'd be, lol--an improvement. I'm getting better!
We are now living in a small park by the Sacramento River near my office. I have two weeks left and then we are finally free! I have a suspicion it'll be closer to three as I managed to promise a particular document would be near finished and its a bear of a document to do.
A huge part of me is so much more relaxed now, having given up caring for so much stuff. I honestly hadn't realized until most of it was gone how much mental and physical energy I put into caring for stuff. Including my much-loved animals. I loved my dogs and cats and critters, but my goodness they take a lot of time and energy. I can't imagine never having a pet again of some sort, but I know I'll never have so many at once. And stuff...even my much loved books (I still have a huge part of my collection)--so much space and care and energy.
