This has been a roller coaster couple of weeks. I thought I was pregnant...in fact, I probably was pregnant and had an early miscarriage--I got a couple faint positive hpts, but then they started being negative. I accidently had sex too near ovulation (we aren't trying to have a baby) and then about a week later started feeling naseous, crampy, dizzy, etc. I was really scared at first, but then day by day got really excited about the idea. I decided not to tell my husband until I knew--I didn't want to worry him unnecessarily and I actually kind of enjoyed the privacy of just knowing myself and not anyone else.

The symptoms continued right up until I was a day late, then my period started. I was really sad...in the long run, it is probably a good thing--gads we have put in motion so many plans that don't include a pregnancy--a baby would be fine, but not a pregnancy! Needing to be near a hospital, doctor etc. The night before I found out that I wasn't pregnant, I told my husband my suspicion. He was so cute--excited even. He took it calmly and we talked about options. We both still wanted to get out of the house now, but agreed we may need to stick closer to this area (and a job, lol!) for now. He even said that if I wasn't, maybe we could actually try for a baby soon :)

I don't think we will for now though. It really isn't the best timing. I think I'm mourning the loss of that possibility...the exciting anticipation of getting to know the little one in your belly. seeing him/her on the ultrasound, feelign the baby move...can you believe I'm nostalgic for pregnancy! Well, thankfully, I have a beautiful, happy healty girl at home to enjoy!

Phoebe is getting so big. She is really starting to try and communitcate more and picking up more and more signs, almost daily. She's learning to turn her wrists--I had no idea that infant and young toddlers have very little wrist mobility--that's part of why they swat at things and are so ackward with silverware :) She sometimes raises her little hands up and twists them in the air--look look! After they get wrist mobility they start getting into things like bottles and turn on hot water and so forth!

She's adding more flair to her baby signs--bringing them closer to the "real" thing. For example, "bear" is hands crossed across your chest and your fingers scrunching, like claws. She was just pulling at her shirt as the sign, but suddenly she has started crossing her arms! She's trying to do more complex signs like shoes (two fists bumping) and even turtle (one hand on the other, like a body in a shell).

She learned to take her own diaper off--not Greg's favorite new "trick". She won't leave it on unless you put pants on her. Naked baby when she's outside in the evenings!
