Phoebe is so cute--she is developing by leaps and bounds. A couple quick stories--the other day she comes over with a plastic giraffe in hand and hits me in the head. I say, "ouch--that hurts mommy's head" and point to my head. She frowns, considering this information. She tries to hit me again and I stop her and repeat, "ouch...". She frowns again, pauses and puts the giraffe to her own head. I say, "yes, ouch--it hurts." She wonders off and I see her banging her head with it harder. When she hits hard enough to hurt, she stops suddenly, turns to me with a look of surprise and she nods gravely...ouch!

I was reading to her the other day, dramatizing "Ms. Spider's Tea Party". There is a point in the story where Ms. Spider is sad because no one will come to her party and I played the page up, pointing to my eye like a tear was there and sobbing, "huh-huh-huh". The next day Greg tells me, nice job--she learned to pretend sob! Now when she feels 'abused', she first tries the pretend sob--pointing to her eye and saying, "huh-huh-huh!"

I was so frustrated this weekend because we were running around everywhere and I just didn't get much time to just enjoy her and play. Sometimes I really hate it that I'm the one that works...I guess that's why this move will be so good for us.
